THE MONOCULTIVAR
We believe that there is beauty in food. The feeling of satisfaction that a “well-made” ingredient or dish can convey, can be compeer to the relieving experience of a landscape with unique profiles. It is with this idea that the “Le Monocultivar” project was born, the new line dedicated to extra virgin oils made from three varieties of autochthones Apulian olives, pressed within 2 hours from harvest. “Coratina”, “Ogliarola” and “Peranzana” thus become icons of a timeless taste, whose stimulant scents and aromas, recall genuineness, excellence and high quality.
CORATINA MONOCULTIVAR
The Monocultivar Coratina extra virgin olive oil is an intense fruity, cold-pressed oil, obtained only from the fruits of our secular Coratina variety olive trees. The olives, harvested during the first weeks of October, are pressed in two hours. The extra virgin olive oil produced is unforgettable on the palate, vigorous, ideal for those who love strong flavors. Its intriguing taste, harmoniously balanced between bitterness and spicy, preserves all the power of the aromas of the wet grass, hints of artichoke and tomato with a final spicy aftertaste that recalls the scents of the countryside. Coratina variety is the queen among the cultivars of Italy, the symbol of the olive tree in Puglia for the high content of polyphenols, potent antioxidants that return that tingling in the throat during the tasting.
